Competing at the top of the Women's Handball Super League, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor are continuing their preparations in Bodrum ahead of their match against Ortahisar Belediyesi Spor Kulübü in Trabzon on Saturday 28 February. Ahead of the demanding fixture to be played at Beşirli Sports Hall, the “Daughters of the Sea” look ready for the trip after a brisk and disciplined training programme.

Yalıkavakspor spent most of the week focusing on defensive organisation, fast-break transitions and set plays. The coaching staff worked in particular on mental resilience and in-game concentration for the away atmosphere. The players' ambition and eagerness gave the club confidence ahead of the Trabzon match.

In their recent fixture against Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü, Yalıkavakspor came away with a 23-23 draw. Both sides produced a high-tempo game at the Üçevler Sports Facilities, and a contest that lasted until the closing stages was reflected on the scoreboard. With good decisions at the critical moments and strong goalkeeping deciding the outcome, the Daughters of the Sea returned from the trip with an important point.

Head coach Kıvanç Özcan said ahead of the Trabzon match:

“In the Bursa game we showed our team's character on court. Coming back from a difficult away trip with a point was valuable for us. But we have a far more critical match in Trabzon ahead of us. In training this week we put the emphasis on defensive toughness and attacking discipline in particular. I trust in my players' fighting quality. We will take the court in Trabzon to win.”

Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor aim to strengthen their league position with the result in Trabzon. After the final training session in Bodrum, the team is scheduled to travel to Trabzon on the day of the match. The Daughters of the Sea will once again be on court to represent Bodrum as well as they can.
