Twelve Names from Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor Called Up to the National Teams
The pride of Muğla and Bodrum, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor, have made their name heard once again both in Turkey and in Europe. Ten Yalıkavakspor players and assistant coach Yeliz Yılmaz were named in the Women's A National Handball Team squad announced by the Turkish Handball Federation. Čapi Ziva, one of the club's star players, was called up to the Slovenian national team squad and will represent the club on the international stage.
Meanwhile Edanur Burhan and Gülcan Tügel, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor players in the A national team squad, have arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, with the Women's A National Handball Team for the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games. Taking part as the tournament's defending champions, our national side face Iran, the Maldives and Guinea in Group A. The team made a strong start by beating Iran 36-28 in their opening group match. The matches are broadcast live on TRT Spor, and the top two teams in the group will advance to the semi-finals.
Ten Yalıkavak Players in the A National Team Squad
According to the list published by the THF, the Women's A National Handball Team camp will be held in Ankara between 24 November and 14 December. The squad includes the following Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor players: Betül Karaarslan – centre back, Beyza Gedik – right back, Reyhan Kaya – centre back, Gülcan Tügel – centre back, Ceylan Aydemir – left wing, Edanur Burhan – right back, Hatice Özdemir – pivot, Nur Ceren Akgün Göktepe – pivot, Yağmur Bembeyaz – goalkeeper, Buket Seven – centre back (guest athlete), Yeliz Yılmaz – assistant coach
This broad representation underlined the club's standing in Turkish handball once again.
Čapi Ziva with the Slovenian National Team
Čapi Ziva, one of Yalıkavakspor's strongest names, was called into the squad by her own country, Slovenia. The player stands out for both her league performances and her international experience.
Ziva's selection for the national team became concrete evidence that Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor is a club developing players not only in Turkey but in Europe.
The “Daughters of the Sea” Make History Once Again
Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor, who have been much talked about in recent years for their performances in the league and in European competition, were again among the clubs sending the most players to the national teams this season.
The club board and coaching staff said the successes of the athletes going to the national teams brought great pride to both Yalıkavak and Muğla, and wished all the players well.

Sending ten players and one coach to the Turkish national team and one player to the Slovenian national team, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor are setting out a strong model in Turkish handball with both home-developed and international players.
