The Daughters of the Sea Storm Through the Final Match of the First Half: Göztepe 21 – 29 Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor

The first half of the THF Women's Super League season has ended.

In the final match of the opening period, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor beat Göztepe 29-21 away from home to finish the half second on goal difference.

Yalıkavakspor and leaders Bursaspor are level on points — sharing the top on 12 points.

Yalıkavakspor Made the Difference in İzmir

In the match played at the İzmir Celal Atik Sports Hall, the Daughters of the Sea were superior from start to finish. Completing the first half 17-10 ahead, the Bodrum side extended the gap after the break to come away 29-21 winners. With that score, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor closed the first half of the season with an advantage in both morale and goal difference.

In the Yalıkavakspor attack, Ceylan Aydemir (7 goals), Gülcan Tügel (5 goals) and Hatice Özdemir (4 goals) carried their team to victory. In goal, Anca Rombescu and Yağmur Bembeyaz played a key part in opening the gap with crucial saves.

For the hosts Göztepe, Zehra Eker (5 goals), Özge Yakar (4 goals) and İrem Can İnce (3 goals) were on the scoresheet.

Yalıkavakspor Head into the Second Half with Confidence

With this win, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor completed the first half of the league season second on 12 points, just behind Bursaspor on goal difference.

The coaching staff and players said they wanted to start the second half with the same energy, and the club directors congratulated the team.

The second half will begin on 3 January 2026 after the Islamic Games and the international break.
