The Daughters of the Sea in the National Team: Seven Names from Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor in the A National Squad
The Turkish Handball Federation has announced the national team camp squad for the preparation tournament to be held in Czechia. The squad includes six players from Armada Praxis Yalıkavak Spor Kulübü and assistant coach Yeliz Yılmaz.
A Preparation Tournament in Czechia
The Turkish Women's A National Handball Team will take part in a preparation tournament in Czechia ahead of the 2026 World Cup. At the tournament, to be held between 19 and 21 September 2025, the national side will face hosts Czechia as well as the strong handball nations Norway and Croatia.

Crucial Preparation Ahead of the European Championship
The tournament carries great importance as part of preparations for the 2026 Women's European Handball Championship. The national side will gather at the Prof. Dr. Yaşar Sevim Handball Hall in Ankara on 15 September to begin work. The matches in Czechia are an important test for the team's game plan and for the players' cohesion.
Six Yalıkavakspor Players Will Wear the National Shirt
Praxis Yalıkavakspor's successful players will be among the national team's most important assets. The names in the squad are:

Yeliz Yılmaz Takes a Role with the National Team
Yeliz Yılmaz, an experienced figure who has contributed a great deal both on court and to the club's culture at Yalıkavakspor, will serve as assistant coach with the Women's A National Handball Team.

Ziva and Bezrukova Also Called Up
Yalıkavakspor's overseas stars were also called up to national duty. Copi Ziva was called up by the Slovenian national team and Sofia Bezrukova by the Ukrainian national team. With that, Yalıkavakspor showed itself to be an important club sending players not only to Turkey's national side but to those of other countries as well.
Yalıkavakspor, who have drawn attention with their successes in recent years, have become one of the most important sources of players in Turkish handball. With nine names sent to national teams, the club is making Bodrum proud not only in Turkey but on the European handball stage.
