Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor Open the Women's Handball Super League Season with Two Wins: an Occasion for Their Fans in Bodrum

Storming into the 2025-2026 Women's Handball Super League season, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor beat MC Sistem Yurdum by a wide margin in their first home match in front of their own supporters. The pride of Bodrum, the “Daughters of the Sea”, won the game played at Bodrum Binnaz Karakaya Sports Hall on Sunday 14 September 2025 by 41-29 to take victory from their second league match as well.

They Opened the Gap in the First Half

Hosting MC Sistem Yurdum in week two of the Women's Handball Super League, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor started the match at a good tempo with the enthusiastic backing of their supporters. Neither side was effective in front of goal in the opening minutes, and it was Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor who opened the scoring. Taking full control of the game after the first goal, the “Daughters of the Sea” increased their speed in attack, opened the gap and closed the half 23-14 ahead.

A Crucial Performance from Anca Rumbescu

Not letting go of control in the second half either, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor gave their opponents no way through, with captain and goalkeeper Anca Rumbescu making crucial saves. Extending the gap with goals in quick succession from fast breaks, the Bodrum side came away 41-29 winners and gave their supporters an enjoyable evening.

A Surprise Birthday After the Match

The match was refereed by Arzu Demirel and Nilgün Acun, with Cengiz Ömer as observer. Afterwards president Emin Palalı, board members, the coaching staff and the players posed for a commemorative photograph. Her team-mates also surprised captain Anca Rumbescu with a birthday cake and a celebration.

Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor's Target Is the Top

Beginning the season with two wins, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor made their title ambitions clearly felt by their supporters. The Bodrum side aim to keep up the same performance in the coming weeks and maintain their challenge at the top.

After the international break, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor face the Danish side HH Elite in the first match of the second qualifying round of the EHF Women's European League at Bodrum Binnaz Karakaya Sports Hall on Sunday 28 September 2025. The return leg will be played in Denmark on 4 October. Between those two matches, Armada Praxis Yalıkavakspor meet Bursa Büyükşehir Belediye Spor Kulübü in week three of the Women's Handball Super League.
